We went to Real Deals over the weekend to see what new Christmas treasures they had. I always go in with Angie in mind. She has good taste and I always think what would she pick. These are some of the things we picked up:
This train comes in 3 seperate pieces These pitchers were so cute, they also have bowls that match but I liked these more than the bowls. I just liked this bowl , plus it is green and I can use this all year round.
These just hang anywhere. There was also a penguin and a snowman, but we might get them another time, or wait until after Christmas. They have sand in their hands and feet.
As everyone knows by now, Barklee has passed on and is now in a better place. He did not give any signs that he was in pain or ready to cross over.Wednesday October 21st was like any other day. Eric and I went to work and Tyler went to school. Once we got home I fed all 3 dogs (Barklee, Clyde and Cookie). When 7:00 pm comes around it is the time for treats..so cookie got her puperoni stick and Barklee and Clyde rec'd their treats. Barklee love the Marrow treats and he barked for them every day. It was almost 9:00 pm and I noticed that Barklee was on the couch sleeping on his back like he usually does and I asked him if he wanted to sleep with Tyler. He wasn't much for getting up at that time so I just told him goodnight and that I would see him in the morning. Barklee and Clyde are always whining in the morning for me to get up and get them their morning treats. Eric was still home when i walked out into the kitchen and put Cookie outside and asked where was Barklee. I walked back to our bedroom and noticed that Barklee was still sleeping. I went over to him and touched him and noticed that he was cold. I ran out and told Eric that Barklee was gone. I show my emotions more than Eric does, but I knew he was hurting inside. We all loved Barklee and will miss him terribly. We are having him cremated like we did Sadie. Here are some pictures of him for everyone to remember him.
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...
